CLUB DATES
1. Introduction to Judging - Saturday 18th January, 10.30-11.45 New Malden - CONFIRMED (and open to all)
As previously mentioned, we're going to run a (very
friendly) introduction to judging course on Saturday. If you're interested, please do come along - it's open to everyone regardless of how recently you joined us (parents, grandparents...you
get the idea). We'll be in one of the classrooms upstairs at the leisure centre. The more judges we have at events, the better. We'll just run through some basic figures along with
an overview of competitions and how they work - hopefully nothing too taxing (I might even go so far as to say "fun"!)
2. Club Champs - Sunday 8th March - Cheam - PENDING
As with last year, we're aiming to hold another Club Champs
from 3-6pm in Cheam. This will be open to ALL swimmers, regardless of how long you've been at the Club. Fan Club t-shirts at the ready. I will confirm asap that we've managed to get
our requested date.
3. Grade Day - 29th March - Croydon - CONFIRMED
We will notify you nearer the time if your daughter will be
entering. Generally speaking it will be for swimmers who have been with the Club for a year or longer, and who have flat splits (so please keep practising!) We'll carry out an assessment
early March and will let you know who is being put forward.
4. London Competition - 25th April - Swanley - CONFIRMED
All teams other than our new little Swans will (hopefully)
be competing. As yet we don't have the rules, but I'm very much hoping that we will all get to swim (whether that's figures or routines) at the very least. Please put this date in your
diary and as soon as I have any more information I will let you know. This won't be until MUCH nearer the time, and I generally pass on the details within 24 hours of receiving them, so if you
don't hear anything it just means (unfortunately) we haven't heard from the London Committee just yet.
5. Olympic Pool Day!! 13th June - London Olympic Pool - PENDING
Given the GREAT success of last year, we're going to run
another Olympic Pool training Day in the summer (3pm-6pm). The format will be the same as 2019, but if you have any other ideas please let me know. This opportunity is open to ALL
swimmers.
6. Combo Cup - 4th July - London Olympic Pool - CONFIRMED
Very excited to say that we'll be competing at this event
again this year. However, the rules haven't been released yet, so please watch this space and we'll let you know which teams are entering. (Swans will still be too new to synchro to be
able to attend this, but please feel free to come along and support!)
7. WEEKEND CAMP! NEW FOR THIS YEAR - 3rd/4th October - Hampton - PENDING
Best until last! We're going to run a weekend training camp
later on this year. Full details will be released over the summer, and as soon as we've got an official date we'll let you know. We're aiming for start of October. This will be open
to ALL swimmers.
Sessions for every swimmer are held every week at the same time and place, unless notified otherwise in advanced, during normal school term time. Please contact your team coach with any queries.
