As the 2024 competition kicks off four of our Rockets talent squad prepare for the Maltese Open Nationals in April.
Everyone at Kingston Synchro is very proud that these swimmers will be competing on a national level abroad, and we can't wait to see how they do. Zia Davies will be performing her Taylor Swift solo, Emily O'Neill will be competing with her Stranger Things solo, and Greta Pousti and Bianca Mocanu will be rocking out to icons Britney and Lady Gaga with their duet.
The girls have been working really hard with Coach Rachael Stevens to finalise choreography and drill their complex routines, and have simultaneously been working hard to raise funds to cover the cost of competing abroad.
It is a competition requirement that the Club flies out a coach (Carys Bruce-Caddick) and two Team Managers (Chiara O'Neill and Daniela Sergi) for the event and we're so grateful that these volunteers are committing their time to helping the girls take to the international stage. There are also costs to cover judging representation and entry fees.
As well as their Go Fund Me Page the swimmers have organised a Pastry Sale for Club Champs, a Guess The Beans in the Jar game, and even a Club Virtual Raffle. Thank you to all of those who have donated so far.
138 tickets were sold for the online raffle (raising £91.80 via Raffall) and we're pleased to announce the following winners:
